After the long, hot summer, many of us look forward to the seasonal changes that Autumn brings. The sensation of cooler weather can really wake you up and get you energized. Change is in the air; a perfect time to turn over a new leaf, pardon the pun.
As September fades into October, the countryside blooms with its own shades of nature; golden yellows, harvest golds, crimsons, peaches and pumpkins.
With harvest time right around the corner, there is so much to be grateful for. All of us, no matter where we are in the world, can be grateful for the ability to still find beauty in the things around us.
One of the most beautiful things on earth is a well-crafted Classical tutu.
Sometimes, we as dance lovers simply need to enjoy what is without analyzing, studying, or trying to get too technical. Ballet is nothing but a highly technical art form where everything from the tips of your toes to the top of your bun is scrutinized, measured, judged, compared and perfected to the extreme.
Instead of worrying about the intricacies of tutu construction, let’s forget all about that today. Instead, let’s just relax and enjoy the positive feelings we get when we enjoy beauty simply for beauty’s sake. Whether it’s a peaceful walk through the woods on a gorgeous fall day, or admiring Monica Newell’s portfolio of designs, it’s a moment to reflect on the beautiful things in life that both nature and the artisans of the world give us.
“Autumn…the year’s last, loveliest smile.”- William Cullen Bryant
