Most of the images we see of ballet tutus either involve movement on the part of the dancer, or images that are seen from a distance. That is why this photo is absolutely perfect for showing off the  couture skills of Master Theatrical Designer, Monica Newell. I am in love with the beauty of the shimmering embellishments on this garment.

The curves and swirls of luxurious bead work have a choreography all their own. They are dancing all over this bodice.

Like spotlights on the stage, gemstone bead work that glows like the  Aurora Borealis night sky create  a rich, elegant layer of light to the bodice fabric. The matching tiara crowns this ensemble with traditional ballet costume perfection and the two photographed together are more than a stunning example of master couture technique.
