Tutu Favourite Of The Month For March 2013

Dancer in first arabesque. Classical tutu in white designed by Costume Creations U.K.

What is white, beautiful and shows off  dance couture construction at its finest?

The answer is this magnificent snow-white tutu designed by Costume Creations! I chose this one as my favourite  for March for a few reasons:

* This photo of the dancer in arabesque achieving perfect balance is made all the more beautiful by the symmetrical way the tutu skirt angles with her hip placement.

* It reminds us that tutus are more than pretty garments , they must be completely  functional  as well. Ballet is so exacting that even a  tutu skirt has to have the correct aesthetics!

The blue photo background and pure white costuming are like gazing up at  clear blue skies punctuated by soft, puffy clouds ; a view that  makes one feel happy to be alive.

Now that I have mentioned dance photos, it appears that I will have to expand on this topic in a later post. I can’t think of anything that could make a dancer feel more proud than capturing the essence of classical ballet movement in a professional dance photo whilst wearing a perfectly made-to-order tutu from Costume Creations.

“A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.”
